Concerning the IEC bus interface of the control device there are several registers available. By transmitting the register name, the uses register is announced and made to the current register. If the device is addressed as TALKER, it outputs the contents of the register set. If a value has been loaded previously with LD, it is accepted into the next following register.

上記文の2行目にあります｢the uses register｣の訳がわかりません。　usesは動詞なのか？とまず考えたんですが、そうでもなさそうですし、名詞や形容詞として使われてるのを見たことがなかったので、もしかするとuserなどのタイポかなとも思いましたが、似たような文章で再度｢the uses register｣が出てきています。
