Hi there, am translating a user manual about speed cameras and am having trouble with the terms for tránsito and trayecto. Here's the client's explanation:
El trayecto es el espacio que un vehículo recorre entre 2 puntos o ubicaciones (Por ejemplo, entre el Punto A y el Punto B).
Con tránsito nos referimos a cada vez que un vehículo pasa por uno de los puntos que definen el trayecto. Por lo tanto, un vehículo que recorre un trayecto entre el Punto A y el Punto B, generará 2 tránsitos, uno cuando pasa por el Punto A y otro cuando pasa por el punto B.

Discussion
The questions I get wrong on the theory exam practise are always due to difficult / hidden wording e.g. "permiso de conducción" cf. "permiso de circulación", use of double negatives, etc. - easily overlooked when reading quickly under pressure....
Good luck with yours, I think I'm going to put in for my theory exam next month....fingers crossed (but don't cross over your arms when turning corners!!).

Same for trayecto - it is a vehicle travelling from A to B - it can be trip, journey, distance BUT would need sentences to choose the right approach
