German term

nicht kontollierbare Retourensendungen

German to English Bus/Financial Transport / Transportation / Shipping transport of goods
Damit gehören nicht nachvollziehbare und nicht kontrollierbare Retourensendungen der Vergangenheit an.

Am I on the right track in thinking that nicht kontrollierbare could be translated as unverified?

Many thanks

Mark

just spotted that Have just submitted it as an answer. Was in a bit of a rush before and thought someone else may come up with something better, but no, apparently not.
Thanks for the push, Phil.

Yes, I agree. Why not post that as an answer?

without looking in a dictionary/doing any additional checks (bit busy), I'd say "untraceable and unverifiable returns".

unverifiable returns

As detailed in the discussion, unverified was on the right track, but it needs to be "unverifiable" since we are talking about what is possible, not what has happened.

The word also needs to match well with untraceable, which this does.
Example sentence:

untraceable and unverifiable returns

uncontollable returns

It seems to be an unwanted phenomenon, so uncontrollable seems suitable.
Example sentence:

The uncontrollable returns are returns, which companies can do little about in the short run.

Peer comment(s):

neutral philgoddard : No, other languages use "control" in a different way to English. It almost certainly means to inspect or verify here.

neutral David Moore (X) : I'm with philgoddard here, and there's a comma too many in your example sentence.
