Discussion

offset (asker) Apr 21, 2013:
hard-line . . . sounds good.

Context: an old-timer is bemoaning the rape of Chiapas natural resources on the part of the federal government and other outside interests. The resulting Zapatista uprising, he hints, is understandable. A younger observer blames academics and other outside agitators.

Can you give us more... ...of the original context (in Spanish) please. This one sentence in isolation is pretty vague.
offset (asker) Apr 21, 2013:
tough talk I gather the sense of this sentence is figurative, not literal. So, my quick and dirty draft would be something like: "One [tough] speech and the entire leper colony [jumped in/got involved]." Am I on the right track?
