imo insurgence (ew. insurrection) - nie pasuje - zgodnie z prośbą Ani; są zbyt blisko "uprising" - "powstanie" (wręcz znaczą to samo), a Ania zdecydowanie chce, aby to rozróżnić

I think 'revolt' doesn't match the description, while 'rebellion' wouldn't sit well with Polish sensibilities.

Chciałabym jeszcze dodać, że niestety nie może być uprising, bo słowo to jest uzyte wczesniej w zdaniu (60th anniversary of the outbreak of the Uprising).

sugeruję pokombinować z tym uprising (może niekoniecznie musi być w poprzednim zdaniu?) ale jak nie da rady, to zawsze można powiedzieć coś w stylu "the citizens rose against the German occupant" albo jakoś podobnie
