Can Entesoartrite here just be Enthesitis in English? Enthesitis is inflammation of the entheses. Arthritis is inflammation of the joints. Do we have an English equivalent that refers to inflammation of the entheses AND joints or does this Italian term refer to inflammation of the entheses only in this case?
I would appreciate your advice.

Can Entesoartrite here just be Enthesitis in English? Enthesitis is inflammation of the entheses. Arthritis is inflammation of the joints. Do we have an English equivalent that refers to inflammation of the entheses AND joints or does this Italian term refer to inflammation of the entheses only in this case?

| Thanks for you help! I think "entesoartrite" is a sub-category of spondyloarthropathy, which is a category of inflammatory conditions incorporating all the conditions in the list. If "entesoartrite" were strictly spondyloarthritis, I don't think they would have used the corresponding Italian in the same list, entry above. I think there may be a difference in terminology between the Italian and English where and enthesitis is defined as a joint inflammation as well as bone inflammation... |
