Polish term

embol

Polish to English Medical Medical (general) Speech Therapy / Aphasia

Looks like a language clot...Embol is a term used by Polish psychologists, speech therapists and pathologists to refer to a speech disorder.

This is Greek origin word so I'm certain as hell it must have its English equivalent having "embol" prefix ...

What do you think?

George BuLah (X) Oct 27, 2013:

LilianNekipelov Oct 27, 2013:
Embol is a short form for embolism-- a clot. I am not sure if this is related to language here -- perhaps the language characteristic of embolism-related speech impairments. Perhaps the patient is speaking Russian -- not stuttering. I am serious.
Darius Saczuk (asker) Oct 26, 2013:
Tu mam coś takiego The fugue-like recursions of speech in persons who suffer stroke or trauma signal the condition of aphasia, characterized by perseverance, that is, that the sufferer perseveres in repeating loops of sound and syntax.
