Insurance
I am translating verbatims from Czech to English - an insurance company satisfaction survey; original questions are not available.
I came across a few pieces of source in German... some are straightforward, but this one... could you please help me? What it may mean?
Many thanks in advance! Jitka

Advisory competence
I think we have to look at this from a different angle.
If this is a customer satisfaction questionnaire, I reckon what they are looking for is a customer rating of the advisory competence of the agent/salesperson

Skills required for applicants in a recruitment ad:
You have a good knowledge of products and services, a high level of advisory competence, client-geared sales skills, service orientation and a professional attitude towards service quality.

Well, lets just add a qualifier, like outstanding advisory competence, satisfactory advisory competence.
Or: excellent advice, obviously well informed, good product explanation or one of a thousand other permutations expressing customers’ opinion ion how good (or bad) the salesperson was.

Note from asker:
Hi Yorkshireman, thank you. However, the problem is that this is on the answer side of the questionnaire. Not on the question side. It means this is an answer a client gave. |
2 KudoZ points awarded for this answer.
Comment: "Hi, thank you once again. I eventually included note to the client and they decided to let it upon their end client. Anyway, thank you!"
Discussion
I will probably go for the Steffens suggestion of "knowledge/expertise of advisor" and make a note to the client.
Thank you all for your engagement and help! Highly appreciated!
b) It is mere guesswork
Wissen (des) Berater(s), it is very common in German to leave out the "des"
Do you think that it could be something like "well-informed/knowledgeable consultants"?
Berater = consultant, advisor
It might be "Wissensberater" in German which could be translated as "knowledge consultant".
