I'd like to see a justification for closing this question after less than the prescribed 24 hours?

Just for general information: court cases in Germany are deemed to have a 'Verfahrenswert', or nominal value (for the proceedings). Solicitors, barristers and attorneys are then entitled to make their charges in accordance with a scale of fees, based on this 'nominal value'. Okay? So this means that "in accordance with" is the answer ntext is (was) actually looking for so maybe I should have posted it...?
Andrea Muller (X) Apr 23, 2014:
I think Steffen is right. Verfahrenswert was calculated acc. to § 51 para 4 GKG, and the costs are calculated on the basis of that amount.
Steffen Walter Apr 23, 2014:
nach = on the basis of/based on costs calculated on the basis of ...

I'm especially concerned with "nach" -- what does that mean here?

I don't think the "nach" affects the translatiion here ... the amount is specified but "nach" means "in accordance with" so up to you
