to ensure impartiality
In Hollie's context I read 'disciplina' in the sense of "transparency, fairness and impartiality" - and all that can be ensured (to some extent) by identifying the evaluators, thus enabling people to check they have no 'axe to grind'.
Condensing all that into one 'key' word, I'd use 'impartiality'.

Rachel Fell
: I prefer "to ensure" and "impartility" - I wonder if "transparency" might also work

Thanks Rachel. I feel it's a 'toss-up' between impartiality and transparency; that said, transparency is only a means towards verifying impartiality, so...

in order to have discipline
accountability seems to be more responsabilidad, though I don't think it's out of the question as an option
but disciplina both in definition and context seems to be more or less discipline
also disciplina & responsabilidad do not show up mutually as synonyms of each other, so I'm not sure they can be interchanged

: This is the most direct translation of the words, but I don't see what it would mean in this context.

I'm not sure either frankly, but surrounding text might help. If a disciplinary action were already in effect and they simply needed the names of those involved it would make sense, I see the sense of accountability, but not its relation to "disciplina"

: Doesn't sound English or make sense in the context.

the context itself implies to me there is a greater surrounding context, and "disciplina" just doesn't really mean accountability, I see the sense which I indicate in my answer, but the two words don't really go together, see what I wrote to Joseph above

: I wouldn't have thought 'discipline' per se would be a problem in an 'Ethics Committee'.

order, frugality & faithfulness
The above were considered to be essential character traits in th Roman army and thus, they worshipped the deity disciplina. In our time discipline means order, sterling character and faithfulness to traditional principles. In this context, transparency, order and a Stirling behavior are essential to an Ethics Committee and that pretty much sums up discipline.

: "frugality" in the pharmaceuticals bizness? // I'm sure we all know what 'frugality' means, even without wiki's help. My point is that it doesn't sit well in any context concerning the multi-billion-dollar pharmaceuticals bizness.

Another possibility might be: 'to ensure that standards are met'. Just a thought.
