This leads me to the US patent family (applicant is the RCA, and the inventor is Albert Maxwell Morrell; the IPC symbol is H01J at least, patent applications filed with the USPTO 1972-1975).
There I read very frequently:
(...) conventional focus-grill, color picture tube comprises a multiple line color phosphor screen, e g repeating groups of red, blue and green emitting color phosphor lines or strips (...)

@geopiet uwierz mi, że dedukuję i szukam dopóki nie jestem przekonana, że sama nie znajdę, albo dochodzę do wniosku, że zajmie mi to zbyt dużo czasu, a w zasadzie bliska jestem niedoczasu ;-) mam więc tymczasowo uproszczony schemat oceny sytuacji: wiemy: 1, nie wiemy: 0 i nie wnikam w niuanse... do odwołania ;-)
