Discussion

Port City Mar 20, 2015:
Maybe it's "U-shaped" when mounting it on a floor, and "C-shaped" when mounting it on a wall.

As for 受付, I've seen various expressions such as catcher, holder, and socket besides "receiver".

curved/recessed floor socket

If you are talking about this (落し受 and 落し受付 are the same thing)

https://nikaya.sakura.ne.jp/customer/shohins/view/22976/

Then, it is a type of socket or strike used to catch a floor bolt and a drop/cane bolt:

落し is a "drop" bolt in this context.
舟形 is a curved recess.
受け or 受付 is a catch, strike, or stop.

lock receiver

I think it refers to something like the one in the bottom of the picture below. Hopefully, someone else can give a better answer.

box

If a drawing, there is probably not much room there to fit one of the nice descriptions offered so far. what does the drawing show?
If the part in question performs the same function as the metallic receptacle taking in the dead bolt of a lock, would settle, as shown in link for ... "box"

Here is another 'tub-shaped' box, perhaps closer to the Japanese description, that receives a semi circular bolt that locks into it by means of a protruding rotation :
