SABrook, Pour obtenir une réponse pertinente, il aurait fallu afficher votre réponse avec l'option French to French. L'idéal aurait aussi été de préciser de quel "Registre du Commerce et des Sociétés" il s'agit (pays/localité d'origine). On peut alors consulter le registre en question, y faire une recherche ou... téléphoner (lorsque c'est possible). La plupart des registres publics comportent un lexique ou un glossaire. Exemple:

Dans ce cas-là, l'exploration du lexique et la recherche (ce qu'on entend par "mode d'exploitation") m'amènent à société anonyme, entreprise individuelle (mais dans votre cas, j'aurais pensé à "société individuelle") ou société commerciale.

@ Asker Without being an expert in the field, I suspect that the 'SC' might be more likely a 'société civile'... (cf. SCI, etc.)

Hi Francois - thanks for the information, but what I really needed was confirmation that my guess as to the abbreviations was correct (I understand the differences between the companies but needed to know if this was in fact what the text meant!)
