expanding the indicators *for* breast cancer testing
One little preposition changes the entire meaning. You're looking at it as indicators *of* breast cancer. I'm seeing: indicators for when a patient should be tested for cancer. Also, it's not * screening*; it's actual tests for cancer.
I just finished a 90,000 word translation on indicators. What's going on here is that they have a list of indicators telling them when they should conduct tests for cancer. The indicators can be such things as previous history of breast cancer, family history of BC, never having had children (= greater likelihood of BC), physical appearance or visible lesion, pain, etc. They want to expand the list of criteria so that they can capture more cases and treat them early.
