webbing loops

Bonjour,
je traduis un nouveau catalogue de fournitures et j'ai un exemple d'un catalogue précédent traduit, mais j'ai un doute.

Il contient un produit, "webbing buckle", traduit comme "boucle pour sangle" et des produits, "loops", traduits également comme "boucles". Dans ce nouveau catalogue, j'ai des "webbing loops" qui devraient donc être traduits comme des "boucles pour sangle" aussi, mais je me demande si quelqu'un connaitrait un meilleur terme.

Thank you Tony. The problem is that both things are metal or plastic items that are used to connect webbing. And your link for a buckle is what they call a "loop", but maybe it's just this particular company's preference.

Parsing the EN Well, I can see the problem... but first of all, it may help if you get the interpretation of the EN correct.

A 'webbing buckle' is a (usually) metal device used for fixing two pieces of webbing together — e.g. for a belt.

But a 'webbing loop' is a loop made of webbing — i.e. something possibly more or less U-shaped, often for holding or hanging something; a typical example might be the 'belt loops' round the waistband of a pair of trousers.

So one is FOR webbing and one is MADE OF webbing — maybe that will be a better starting point for you?
