neutral Tony M : As this is described as an annual service, I don't think it is referring to simple erection.

English term (edited): up-and-down service

service dépose-repose

That's what it means, though i'm not sure about the actual FR term.

Good point, Patrick!

As it is an 'annual service', I was thinking more about something like taking down an awning for cleaning / repair, rather than something like seasonal marquee erection...

Note that the source text only mentions 'awnings' — there is no specific mention of marquees, etc.

agree patrickfor : montage/démontage Tony ? /AMHA s'ils vont démonter pour nettoyer dans leurs locaux c'est D/R s'ils vont installer des tentes et les enlever en fin de saison c'est M/D UP&DOWN me fait plus penser à M/D ???

Merci, Patrick ! C'est vous qui voyez mieux que moi — pour un store, je pensais « poser », mais vous pourrez me le dire ... ?
neutral B D Finch : Wouldn't that be a down-and-up service? I did realise "up-and-down" was a set pattern, but to translate it required finding out what they really mean, which actually does start with putting the awning up in the spring.

Thx, B! Well logically yes — but you know how in En there are just set patterns of saying things, like 'inside-out' (instead of outside-in) or 'walkie-talkie' (instead of talkie-walkie, as in FR) — I think 'up-and-down' is just so much commoner in EN.
