То есть восстановление и модификация. Старый реставрированный кузов с новыми технологиями. Но не хот-род. Здесь это слово из прямой речи, поэтому лучше сказать кратко и емко. По ссылке - отличие реставрации от Resto-mod. Аналога в русском, похоже нет....

Я предложил вариант навскидку для прямой речи. Ваша мысль насчет ретро-концепта верна. Все надо проверять и искать точный термин. Из других вариантов могу предложить, например, "модифицированная классика".

Asker: Поняла, подумаю еще. Прямая речь требует краткости, верно. ...А «ретро-концепт» не может быть новоделом, имитирующим в той или иной степени ретромодель? Если я правильно понимаю, экземпляр, который выставлен корпорацией на SEMA и о котором идет речь в цитате, — настоящий винтаж, в который встроили детали-новинки с целью их продвижения.
