Malgré la traduction du titre du brevet, l'objet ressemble plus à une casquette qu'à un casque, plus souvent associée à un objet rigide (hard hat, helm, helmet) en français
J'ai un gadget de ce genre depuis des années (casquette à LED) et c'est du tissu souple, exactement comme une casquette de base-ball.
S'agissant d'un brevet la généralité est préférable, donc "couvre-chef" pour tout ce qui se met sur la tête me paraît bien, coiffure aurait l'inconvénient de l'ambiguïté avec "hair style"
