Zero Recovery – A fixed recovery rate where the investor knows on the start date that the recovery rate is fixed at a 0% level, meaning that, after a credit event, in the case of an investment linked to a single name the loss will be 100% but if the portfolio consists of 100 companies the loss will be 1% per company that defaults.
