I'm translating a blog entry that uses the idea of 納まり from the context of architecture or carpentry as a lead in to a discussion on the importance of attention to detail.
The entry begins as follows:
「納まり」という建築用語があります。納まりとは、細部の取り合い箇所の仕上がり具合いをいいます。
The word that springs to mind is "finish," but I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a term more specifically used in architecture.

An idea. I think "interface" should be included at least when 納まり first appears in the blog.
