English term

self-patented

English to French Other Finance (general)
Our trading platform was self-patented with your convenience in mind.

How would you translate "self-patented"? I assume it just means that the company tested the platform and found it fit to its purpose.

It's an unusual construction in English. What country is your text from? I think it is unlikely to mean here that they filed a patent application without the assistance of a patent agent. I think they are referring to the fact that it is a proprietary trading platform, i.e. it is their own platform, they developed it, they own it and they own the patent rights themselves - it is not a platform operated under licence from another company.
