this is the context.. thoughts? I am confused- is the "pannello" not the display case itself? How can it be behind the display? Anyone picture what they mean here? thanks

I understand it as meaning the panel behind the display case the wall panels for example, however, the back panel of the display case itself is also a possibility as the "display " in the Italian is not necessarily a case but can be the items themselves that are displayed... If you see what I mean
