My automotive dictionary gives "pillar" for montante.
I think this is specifically what's called the "A pillar":
Either of the front pillars that support the windshield, the
front of the roof, and door hinges. Also called windshield pillar or A-post.

If we are discussing cars, it seems to refer to the wipers located into the body. BODY is usually a regular term for this devices. Good luck.
