Le produit a été déclaré conforme sur la base des analyses du SF.

Can't figure out SF. The rest of the tests I seem to get, like CCM, CPG KF, but I can't ferret out SF yet. Any direction will be helpful.

Discussion

Will Volny (asker) Sep 26, 2018:
SF was mentioned twice and as I reread the sections, indeed, it is analysis by SF, spectroscopie de fluorescence. In this paper, when they discussed semi-finished product, they used 'semi-fini.' Thank you very much for your answers. I will endeavour to figure out how to 'grade' answers on Kudoz.
abe(L)solano Sep 25, 2018:
I agree with Karen's other answers but not here. In French it can also be "produit demi-fini", DF. Since they are talking about analytical tests it might be "spectroscopie de fluorescence".
Karen Tkaczyk Sep 24, 2018:
My pleasure I saw the emails come in and had the answers off the top of my head. Hence rapidity. :) All the best.
Will Volny (asker) Sep 24, 2018:
You are spot on. It's exactly what is being discussed. Again, thank you IMMENSELY. And the rapidity!!!!

SF: semi-finished?

PSF would be pretty common, produit semi-fini >semi-finished product. I've never seen SF like that in a doc but French texts do often lose the noun and use the adjective as a noun so it seems reasonable.
However, no doubt there are other possibilities here.
