I have seen the answers given to this query here (https://www.proz.com/kudoz/spanish-to-english/law-general/55... and I have also found that the term used in the United States is “plat map” (https://www.realtor.com/advice/buy/what-is-a-plat-map/; https://appraisersforum.com/forums/threads/you-say-plat-map-...

I’d like to know if “plat map” is used or readily understood in Ireland.

I found that “parcelamiento” is called “sub-division of registered property” in Ireland (https://www.prai.ie/mapping-practice/); so, I will use “sub-division of registered property document”.

Forget terms used in USA and translate this in a "country neutral" fashion that a) describes what the document is b) could be understood by any English speaker with a broad understanding of land registration. The point I am making is that the systems in Spanish speaking countries and Ireland are so widely different that you cannot simply transpose them.

@ Manuel (1) I strongly disagree with your using "subdivision plat document". "Plat" is predominantly a US concept, as far as my research shows, and I do not think it would be understood either in Ireland (which is what you said!) much less in the UK.

I have seen that such details and requirements are very similar to those of a *subdivision plat* (http://www.landmark80.com/plats-of-survey.html) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lot_and_block_survey_system) (https://www.slideshare.net/duncanspeedy1963/residential-land... a term used in United States.
Since so far I haven’t found an equivalent term used in other English-speaking countries, I am thinking of rendering “documento de parcelamiento” as “subdivision plat document”.

From the definition it's clear that this is more than a simple reference to the cadastral registry entry or just a 'plot layout' as in the previous KudoZ

In the UK is usual to talk about plots (parcelas) for development (urbanización). I would imagine it is the same in Ireland.
