English term

loading joint

English to Dutch Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering part of a stairlift
This is the part that's fitted at the top of the rail where the carriage for the seat is fitted on after that. It's mentioned in the installation manual [for mechanics] a few times, only in this specific context.

Jolanda Admiraal (asker) Feb 15, 2019:
I have sent you a link, I hope you don't mind. It's rather 'large' and it's a one-piece joint. It doesn't have moving parts. Therefore 'scharnier' doesn't seem to fit in this context....
Willemina Hagenauw Feb 15, 2019:
Could it be something like a scharnieronderdeel? So that this part gives the carriage the movement to go down the stairs? Just a thought. Ask the client for a picture. That may give you some insight in what it does.
Jolanda Admiraal (asker) Feb 15, 2019:
Stairlift part Should have added it in the description, not just the title. Apologies. The rail of a stairlift is mounted on the stairs / wall, and at the (top) end of the rail this joint is inserted, and on that the carriage (of the seat of the stairlift) is mounted.
Willemina Hagenauw Feb 15, 2019:
More context please What type of carriage are we talking about?
