I am translating a university degree from Ecuador. I found a little bit hard to translate the phrase "ly prestado la promesa correspondiente"

The whole phrase is:

Por haber cumplido con todos los requisitos exigidos por la Ley y prestado la promesa correspondiente, el TITULO DE:

I would imaging this refers some kind of a pledge by the student that is a prerequisite for receiving the degree.
