Legal terms in universities degrees
Good morning!
I am translating a university degree from Ecuador. I found a little bit hard to translate the phrase "ly prestado la promesa correspondiente"
The whole phrase is:
Por haber cumplido con todos los requisitos exigidos por la Ley y prestado la promesa correspondiente, el TITULO DE:
Can any one give me a hand?
Thanks,
Katherine

having made the required pledge
I would imaging this refers some kind of a pledge by the student that is a prerequisite for receiving the degree.
