reserve
Help please. I have this text, where they refer to the "reserve" all the time.
For réserves par ligature, couture, I cam up with
reserve-dyeing by stitching and tying
Any idea how I could avoid the "reserve-dyeing by" formulation in the following please?

resist
I think these all seem to be forms of resist dyeing. Thus by using (resist) knots (as in tie dyeing) or (resist) stencils or wax etc, part of the fabric resists the dye being applied.

in regards to BDF's comment re tie-dyeing, the part within the tight-knot area is a similar resist to adding wax etc. in the other techniques as dye does not penetrate there.

Discussion
The chosen fabric can be tie and dyed using either """raffia resist""" or """stitch resist"""with two different dyes at least.
Wax is used as a "resist" by crumpling, folding, spreading and randomly splashing of the wax before dying
so these are different ways of preventing the dye from reaching the fabric if I understand it correctly.
However, you seem to be asking how to avoid the repetition in the French. Am I right?
And is this a list of bullet points that appears in the text, or have you extracted every occurrence of the word from the document?
If it's the former, you can simply leave out "reserve" - you don't need to repeat it in every bullet point.
If it's the latter, you can't avoid the repetition as far as I can see.
