Italian term

sedimentabilità

Italian to English Marketing Marketing / Market Research corporate image
From a book on management.

I am not quite sure what is meant by sedimentabilità in this context when describing corporate image. Below is the definition of sedimentazione in Treccani and was trying to find a suitable term or phrase in English. Perhaps "evolve"? Any help would be appreciated.

5. fig. Fase di evoluzione, di riposo attivo, durante la quale si elabora una maturazione o si concretizza e perfeziona uno sviluppo, un cambiamento: concezioni nuove, che hanno bisogno di un periodo di s. per attecchire; dopo una fase di s. i loro rapporti sono migliorati.

Something like establishment or becoming established, or memorability.

Settling Hi! I have looked up the exact meaning of "sedimentare" in Italian and - as I understand it - when referred to thoughts or images, it means "to acquire significance, importance or visibility over time". This roughly corresponds to the process of "settling" in English. Would something like "its capability of settling in the consumer's/client's/target's/audience's mind" work?

Thanks Phil. Really struggling with this one. I think that might be close. I was also thinking along the lines of "building up over time" (going back to the word "sediment" as in layers of sediment that accumulate...??). Or progressively evolving...?

stability?

Not easy! Maybe something like "capable of consolidation and growth"?
(Compliments on your question, by the way. You've obviously done some thinking and researching before posting it.)

underlying catchiness

'....che hanno bisogno di un periodo di s. per attecchire'... so to 'catch on'.

I recall 'sedimentability' from chemistry lessons in a past age at school where some 'masters' (teachers) had indeed, coincidentally, been the 'dregs of British society'.

Last offer: cumulative recognisability.
Example sentence:

The sedimentability of eight acid hydrolases in an homogenate from root tips of Zea mays(L.) varied between 13% (α-glucosidase) and 46% .

There was a devil-may-care-but-I-do mentality to their songs, and a fuzzed sound with raised-voice vocals that belied the underlying catchiness ..
