English term
Acknowledgements
English to French
Law/Patents
Law: Contract(s)
Grant
Hi guys, can you help me find the right translation to the term "acknowledgments" is the context of a Grant agreement:
ARTICLE X
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Section n°XX Acknowledgement of "XXX".
Acknowledgements by Recipient relating to the Grant will be given to "XXX" unless otherwise (a) specified
(...) The term "Acknowledgement" means any public reference or any other right or benefit
provided to XXX or its Affiliates in recognition of the Grant.
I believe the definition is related to the one provided here: https://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Acknowledgeme... but still, I struggle to find the corresponding term in French.
Thank you all for your inputs!

Asker has asked about two other places where the same word is used in the text but I don't see where to respond so I'll respond here. I don't see a problem with either of these other two mentions of "remerciements"... I hope you'll find a wording that you are happy with. ")

Thank you for your answer! It is true that it could be the right translation here! I'd love to have futher community input too! Thanks :) |
Thank you, but "remerciement" don't seem to fit in the following sentence: "Foundation and Recipient may agree that Recipient will provide Acknowledgements other than to XXX" |
I don't think that "remerciements" is appropriate in the following sentence of the same contract: "or any trademark, trade name, service mark or logo of Foundation or its Affiliates (whether or not registered, a "Trademark") to be used as an Acknowledgement for the Grant by Recipient pursuant to this Agreement (...)" what do you reckon? |
Dear Germaine, thanks for clarifying. I also wonder whether "mention(s)" is not the correct term after all... |

: M’est idée que "remerciements" va bien, sauf sans doute dans le dernier exemple ou "reconnaissance" semble convenir. Rien ne s’oppose à ce deux termes traduisent le même (ce qui n’est en fait pas vrai puisque l’un est au pluriel et pas l’autre).
