Arabic term

أخذ من

Arabic to English Art/Literary General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
This is an extract from a transcription on various topics, including the development of new applications of software.

How should I understand the simple verb تأخذ here when used with من ?
وهناك شركات متخصصة في البرمجيات يعني فقط تأخذ من برمجيات

My working translation is:
"there are companies specialized in software, I mean, that only deal with software"

Deal with/select from

I think the translation could be either "deal with" (if the mentioned company deals with programming in general) or "select from" ( if the rest of the context suggests that it deals with certain programs and not others)
I hope this helps.
