¡Gracias!

English translation:Statement of changes in shareholders' equity / Statement of changes in stockholders' equity
Explanation:
The type of company makes no difference if you are talking about an S.A. de C.V. or an S. de R.L. de C.V. Both of the suggested terms are correct.

Hope this helps.

neutral  Robert Carter: If it's an SRL, it does make a difference because they have "members", not "shareholders". Better to use "members' equity" or the neutral "owners' equity" IMO. Saludos, Richard!

Statement of movement in members' equity; (US GAAP) Statement of Retained Earnings

Explanation:
- as per Robert C's point:

'A Statement of changes in equity and similarly the statement of changes in owner's equity for a sole trader, statement of changes in partners' equity for a partnership, statement of changes in Shareholders' equity for a Company or statement of changes in Taxpayers' equity for Government financial statements is one of the four basic financial statements. '

PS when dealing with lay clients whose language may not have been English, I used an 'explanatory' translation (FWIW never queried) of a movement in equity or capital.

......

Requirements of the U.S. GAAP

In the United States this is called a *statement of retained earnings' and it is required under the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) whenever comparative balance sheets and income statements are presented. It may appear in the balance sheet, in a combined income statement and changes in retained earnings statement, or as a separate schedule.'

Example sentence(s):
  • Movement in shareholders' equity over an accounting period comprises the following elements:....
