I have trouble finding a neutral word for "receptor" (AutoCAD, thermal, ventilation and drainage systems) that would suit every context. "Terminal unit" is used interchangeably with "receptor":
"Component outlet diameter. Always indicates diameter on receptor side" (no context)
"Hot water receptors"
"Gas receptors"
"Pressure upstream of critical receptor"
"Path to receptor" (no context)
"Receptors_Text_WaterPipe" (no context)
"Contribution of terminal units" (again, no context)
"INVALID CONTROL VALVE TYPE (%s) ON TERMINAL UNIT"
"Component outlet diameter. Always indicates diameter on receptor side" (no context)
"Hot water receptors"
"Gas receptors"
"Pressure upstream of critical receptor"
"Path to receptor" (no context)
"Receptors_Text_WaterPipe" (no context)
"Contribution of terminal units" (again, no context)
"INVALID CONTROL VALVE TYPE (%s) ON TERMINAL UNIT"

reseptor
The biological term "reseptor" is the closest to a "neutral" term in Norwegian for this. It seems to me that "receiver", i.e. "mottaker" might be closer in some contexts, but would exclude others.
"Terminal unit" would be "termineringsenhet", but would be somewhat restricted as well, in my opinion.
