Discussion

Barend van Zadelhoff Jun 13, 2020:
It is an item from a sales brochure.
I think both these options are valid:

- segment of curved roof edge profile with saw-cuts

- close-up of saw-cuts, for curved roof edge profiles

Both suggested as an answer. :-)

giovanni_v Jun 13, 2020:
I can see your logic, the picture on the product sheet does show a close-up of the curved section.

There's a clearer picture here:
https://www.claerhoutaluminium.be/nl/producten/detail/ekonom...

However, in Jethro's question, the term is part of a list (specs for the roof profile?). Perhaps something like 'sawtooth curved section' or 'segment of curved roof edge profile with saw-cuts' as you suggested would be better here?

Here are couple of other links for rolled/curved roof edge profiles

Gewalste dakranden
De meeste dakranden kunnen op diverse manieren worden gewalst (X- en Y-as). Inzagen behoort eveneens tot de mogelijkheden; de dakranden kunnen dan in alle vormen over de X-as worden meegebogen.

Gewalste of ingezaagde profielen:
Voor holle, bolle daken of gevels kunnen gewalste profielen worden geleverd. Het EUROAL Standaardprofiel kan bij holle of bolle gevels ook ingezaagd worden geleverd.

otherwise OR: close-up of saw-cuts, for curved roof edge profiles

see image next to 'detail ingezaagd voor bogen': detail zaagsnedes
Barend van Zadelhoff Jun 13, 2020:
detail, ingezaagd, voor bogen detail, ingezaagd, voor bogen

Imo 'detail' means 'detailopname' (close-up) here.

See for example: https://tinyurl.com/y8clm8st

In this specific context 'detail' may be translated as 'segment'

Like:

segment of curved roof edge profile

The term could be rephrased as:

detail voor ingezaagde bogen

-->

segment of curved roof edge profile with saw-cuts

see image of 'detail ingezaagd voor bogen':

Proposed translations

1 day 2 hrs
Selected

close-up of saw-cuts, for curved roof edge profiles

OR: segment of curved roof edge profile with saw-cuts (see D-box), if you read it a little bit different.

see source document:

https://www.claerhoutaluminium.be/websites/1/uploads/files/p...

This is about 'dakrandprofielen'

You can see: 'detail zaagsnedes' (close-up of saw-cuts) next to 'detail ingezaagd voor bogen'

'detail ingezaagd voor bogen' should be read as:

detail, ingezaagd, voor bogen

You may conclude 'detail' refers to the 'zaagsnedes' in this instance as well

'detail' means 'detailopname'

see for example: https://tinyurl.com/y8clm8st (scroll up a little bit)

So:

detail:= close-up
boog:= curved roof edge profile
ingezaagd:= with saw-cuts

2 translation options:

close-up of saw-cuts, for curved roof edge profiles

Otherwise:

segment of curved roof edge profile with saw-cuts (see D-box)
