Aby to zrealizować konieczne musi być wciśnięcie dźwigni manipulatora. Przejście z pozycji „trakcja” do „hamowanie” musi być możliwe bez blokady. Pozycja środkowa „OFF” musi mieć wyczuwalną zapadkę ustalającą tą pozycję. Do przełączenia manipulatora do i z tej pozycji musi być wymagania „wyczuwalnie większa siła” niż z pozycji sąsiednich.
