English term

Physical development

English to Arabic Social Sciences Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc.
The focus in the source document is "physical development" of infants and toddlers.
I opt to translate physical development as التنمية الجسدية since the context is that of developing skills of standing, running, walking, jumping, eating at table, eating using hand, finger etc.--basically all the skills and abilities that children develop during the period between infancy and small children.
I conducted a general review of the term, and came upon several instances of التنمية البدنية.
Further researching the difference between "jasad" and "badan," some sources refer to "badan" as being the upper part of the body, and "jasad' refers to the total body.
Can anyone shed any ideas as to which translation would be more appropriate in this context?
I know there is no hard and fast answer to such a question.
Thank you in advance
