I think we ought to consider 'Sozialversicherung' that doesn't trabnslate well as 'social ins.' rather a hybrid of nat. ins. and soc. sec. > social security.
The translation might go a slightly different way in Austria cf. the hot topic of 'Mindestsicherung', whilst still avoiding the dreaded Volk word in 'Volksverband'.
