l'exactitude des opérations

Non-PRO French to English Bus/Financial Internet, e-Commerce l'exactitude des opérations
Une fois que le colis est arrivé au site, la compagnie vérifiera la légitimité de la restitution et, après avoir constaté l'exactitude des opérations, la compagnie enverra à l'utilisateur une lettre de confirmation.

l'exactitude is used again in the text, in the context of checking information.

This is a returns policy for goods bought online. I have two options in mind! I initially thought that it would be checking the working order.
However, the company insists that the customers follow the correct returns procedure and I then thought that it refers to following the right procedure.

thanks

Thanks all for your help. It was confirmed to me that it means checking that procedures have been correctly followed.

I don't think it is just payment but that they check to ensure that the goods have been returned as instructed

Althea You should put that as an answer.

perfect thank you. After checking the dictionary, I thought that "operations" here was the process/procedure. So your link fits that conclusion, thanks

In this Termium Plus entry about account verification states
"Dans le cadre du processus de vérification, il faut vérifier l'exactitude des opérations, c'est-à-dire s’assurer que le montant n’ a pas déjà été payé, que les remises pertinentes ont été déduites, que tous les frais non admissibles ont été supprimés et que le montant à payer est exact"

So, could it be that it's along these lines?

French term (edited): après avoir constaté l'exactitude des opérations

after verifying the accuracy of the transactions / the elements of the transaction

implied "the monetary transactions", the end result being "... que le montant à payer est exact"

IOW it's about "l'exactitude des opérations comptables"

or

after validating the (elements of the) transaction

or

after being satisfied that the transaction has been verified

you could see it as "a transaction" with several elements (le montant total, montant déjà payé, remises pertinentes, autres frais admissibles / non admissibles ...)

or as several "transactions" leading to determining the "amount to pay back" to the customer.

I think "that validating the elements of the transaction" makes more sense.

One way or another, "constater l'exactitude des opérations" the next logical step after checking whether or not the customer is entitled at all to return the goods - check what is the right amount to pay back.

operational precisions

Once the package has arrived the company verifies its return, after checking the precision of the delivery operation, and then sends the user a letter of confirmation.

The 'user' is also considered as a client or customer.

(FR:Une fois l'emballage est arrivé, l'entreprise vérifie sa restitution, après avoir constaté la précision de la livraison, et ensuite une lettre de confirmation est envoyée au client.)

the veracity of operations/transactions

This suggestion works, in my opinion, if you are wishing to use a noun. Otherwise, in English, it might be more natural to use verbs.

Such as, "... after having checked that X has indeed been returned, and after having noted/confirmed that the "operations" have been carried out correctly..."

here are lots of other ways to express it, but I'm sure you get the gist of what I'm getting at.
