meditation
Dear colleagues, I have a doubt about the meaning of the phrase “where they are” in the passage below, taken from the description of a book on a meditation practice called the “Wheel of Awareness”. I was thinking about something like “no matter what their meditation experience is”, but I’m not sure.
Thank you in advance for any suggestion!

This is the passage:
Packed with guided meditation instructions, practical exercises, and everyday tools and techniques, Becoming Aware meets readers *** where they are *** and offers a simple program to enhance our inner sense of clarity and even our interpersonal well-being
Thank you in advance for any suggestion!

no matter what type of reader or what type of life, mindset, lifestyle...
this is a "simple" guide, which is seemingly designed to suit everyone, no matter where they are in their life, mind, lifestyle right now. I don't believe it is simply about those who have already done meditation or are already at a level of mindfulness
The title after all is "Becoming Aware", which implies it is aimed at first timers to the world of mindfulness
"takes readers step-by-step through a twenty-one-day journey to discover what it means to be truly present and aware in our daily lives."
This simple yet profound guide shows readers how to strengthen their minds by learning to focus attention, open awareness, and develop a positive state of mind—the three pillars of mindfulness practice that research shows lead to greater physical and mental well-being...."

EXPLANATION
When we talk about adaptability and Values Based Leadership, we often say “meet people where they are.” It means diagnosing their values, their style, their needs, and their emotions, and connecting with them in a way that is effective for them.

: that would be ok in a different field and if it were personalised or 1 to 1. No diagnosis taking place here

(is tailored to/ tailors itself to) the reader's state of mind
i.e, it meets its readers head-on, and taps into their current state of mental and emotional development;

: No. it means that it's for all types of people; state of mind is far too restrictive
