Wendelgezahnte Schaftfräser sind die am häufigsten eingesetzten Fräser. Meist haben sie einen Rechtsdrall der Schneiden, um die Späne über die zwischen den Schneiden liegenden Spanräume nach oben vom Werkstück wegzuführen.
