English term

alley

Non-PRO English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters alley
- What about the bitch? She's gonna be trouble.
- Don't worry. This will be right up Brett's alley.

The conversation is taken from Deep water series.

Bret here is killing people he knew in the past.

Does it have different meaning here?

Thanks in advance,

The idea is to help clear up doubts and just saying it's easy to google doesn't cut it iMO.

I answered because if you know, it's easy and if you don't it's not. Not just a question of googling if you don't know the way to go.
writeaway Apr 20, 2022:
Apparently it's the American version According to the Cambridge dictionary, the UK version is to be right up someone's street.
be right up sb's alley
US informal (UK be right up sb's street)

In the UK they say something is "right up your street" meaning various things: well suited to one's tastes, interests, or abilities.

In the US they say "alley" rather than "street" but same thing.

In your case Brett will be well able to take care of the situation.

Ideally suited to one's interests. Anna loves watching movies, so I'm sure she'll go to the film festival with you—that's right up her alley. This course seemed right up my alley when I signed up for it, but it ended up being dreadfully boring.
