Spanish term

rectificación superior

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) general power of attorney

higher-level rectification ('referral-up' to a court or registry)

Documents, deeds and land registrations in English-speaking countries are 'rectified' e.g. by the Land Registry and/or by the Court exercising a discretionary, 'equitable' power.

Note that the textbook term of alteration e.g. in a company's general or special meeting is used for a company's Articles of Incoporation (Association of a Company or of Partnership), though the (questionable) UK notarial convention is to use 'amendment'.
Example sentence:

Rectifying a mistake in power of attorney document. Yes, it can done by way of Deed of Rectification.

Rectification specifically involves the correction of a mistake which prejudicially affects the title of a registered proprietor.

Amendment by a higher authority (i.e, a review body)

"Finally, I declare that, in the widest sense of the present mandate, I confer on my attorney (-in-fact) the (necessary) authorisation as determined under Article 1171 of the Venezuelan Civil Code, without being subject to amendment by a higher authority (i.e, a review body)

Not sure whether "sin que éste" means 'without being subject to', or ' unless subject to' here.

Sorry, typo, " sin que esté ";

Thanks. However the 'rectification' may not in fact be by a court as such, and there is nothing questionable about the use of 'amendment', whereas 'rectification 'sounds stilted to me.
