This is from a Sudanese text. I'm not sure what kind of wood this is.

It's after a girl has been injured and they are carrying her back to her mother's house on what seems like a make-shift stretcher.

"حملوها إلى بيتها على الأخشاب المتصالبة كحيوان تم اصطياده للتو ..."
