Yiddish term

kindba

Yiddish to English Social Sciences General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
From a letter (mostly in German with several Yiddish words and phrases), dated 1940 in Vienna, Austria:

"Das Ratschendrehen bei der Megille wird R. und E. nicht wenig Spaß gemacht haben und die Karpfen, Kindba und Hamantaschen nicht weniger."

I translate the sentence as "Spinning the ratchet noisemakers during the reading of the megillah must have been a lot of fun for R. and E., not to mention the carp, ______ and hamantashen." It's all clear and makes perfect sense...except for the word "Kindba," which I can't find anywhere!

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!

kneidlach? totally guessing "10. Matzah Balls
In Yiddish, matzah balls are called kneidlach, which sounds like kinderlach, “children.”
