Int.principal(In)

French to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng
Help please. This is a text about electrical panels. I presume Int.principal means main current but what about the (In)?

Discussion

Johannes Gleim Nov 4, 2023:
@ Jethro La question est-elle toujours en suspens ou a-t-elle reçu une réponse au cours de la discussion ? Si oui, elle devrait être fermée, si non, il devrait être répondu à mes questions.
Johannes Gleim Nov 1, 2023:
@ Jethro "intensité" is not only current intensity, but also light intensity, radiation intensity, acoustic volume, signal intensity, wind intensity, and much more.
The subscript "n" can indicate "nominal".

Therefore, we need to know which kind of intensity is meant, what it's value is and in which unit it is expressed before we can answer the question. It would be even more helpful if the relevant sentence or paragraph and the full context were also given.
Emmanuella Oct 31, 2023:
Oui , interrupteur principal/ intensité nominale

My guess Intérrupteur, switch. Could the "In" be an abbreviation for this? What's the context?
Peter Shortall Oct 31, 2023:
(In) In appears to be intensité nominale, as on page 4 of the link below (your phrase Int.principal(In) appears on pages 10 and 11).
