marinage (par chargeur minier)

I've learnt a word! It seems a bogger is what I've always known as a scooptram. It is possible there is a difference in terminology between tunnelling and similar civil works (with which I am familiar) and mining (which I know less).

A bogger or scooptram is a loader (with a bucket at the front), most commonly one with pneumatic tyres (also tracked, see below), specially designed for underground work: it is low.

Bogger
A low profile front end loader used underground to load ore or waste onto underground trucks.
Some boggers can be operated by remote control.

Once the roadway is clear you can start bogging the heading starting on the right side first, then the left side. We do this to keep the boggers tires from getting cut or staked, taking the dirt out evenly to the face one side then the other.

Bogger: An underground miner who digs out (shovels) broken ore or mullock from the work face.
(in more modern times a Bogger can also describe a powered wheeled or track vehicle used for this purpose. So someone operating this machine can be referred to as a Bogger or Bogger Driver)

Another word for bogging (in tunnelling at least), is 'mucking out', or marinage.

So for the machine, chargeur minier appears, to me at least, to be an appropriate term.

For the operation itself, if precision and detail is required, marinage par chargeur minier , otherwise simply marinage.
