Our trust account management services offer trust accounts managed by the banking operations of Shinhan Bank consisting primarily of money trusts. In Korea, a money trust is a discretionary trust over which (except in the case of a specified money trust) we have investment discretion (subject to applicable law) and is commingled and managed jointly for each type of trust account. The specified money trusts are established on behalf of customers who give us specific directions as to the investment of trust assets. Trust account customers are typically individuals seeking higher rates of return than those offered by bank account deposits.
