I require an English idiom or proverb for a situation where the importance of doing away from bad guys is explained because they spoil each and everyone who comes in their contact. I could not find a befitting idiom in my dictionary of idioms for this setting.

Thanks Ms. Rita for your query As a native speaker, of course, you have a better understanding of this issue. I'd be grateful if you could explain the difference in respect of two expressions mentioned by you as it will enrich my knowledge. Thanks again for your input.

disagree humbird : The situation asker is describing is more voluntarily ("do away" from is active and conscious action), hence "therefore one would avoid that person." This common cliche does not address that.

As I understand the Asker's request, (s)he needs to say that someone will consciously get away (as you well say) from another person because that person is a bad influence. "Bad influence" is metaphorically expressed in "rotten apple spoiling a barrel".
agree chica nueva : Also 'birds of a feather flock together'- sometimes describes a group of undesirable people (that you don't want to be part of for fear of being 'tarred with the same brush') 'A man is known by the company he keeps' (both of these concern reputation)

It is easier to stay out than get out.

This is what Mark Twain (1835-1910) said. It is not exactly an idiom, but idea is "Just stay away from bad (or sptupid) people or bad things. It will save you a lot of trouble". As a matter of fact I believe it.

This is a kind of question that stimulates my intellectual juice, so I offer another answer belatedly and after commented to other answerers.
