Linkers, weavers and pollinators

English to Russian Social Sciences Human Resources Online community jargon
Linkers, weavers and pollinators (название типажа члена сообщества)

The bumblebees and butterflies! This group of people is very important in larger communities where there may be a large selection of conferences and topics from which to choose. These members tend to participate across a range of interests, and in doing so, are in the best position to let others know of interesting happenings across the community. They make wonderful greeters and mentors, and often have interest in bringing new resources to a community as cybrarians. They keep spaces from getting dull or stale. On the other hand, they can disrupt slower, deeper conversations with their "flitting" in and out.

связной, паук, опылитель - прозвища/типаж членов сообщества/коллектива

Linkers … are individuals who can take an idea associated with one project or stream of work and find other projects which are doing similar things, so as to combine the efforts of different people on a common theme (Linking ideas between projects)

Weavers … are individuals who take ideas and start making complex relationships within different work streams so that all become inter- woven and dependent on each other (weaving a number of ideas to make all different things into one single mass)

Pollinators … just as a bee takes pollen from one flower to another in order for all flowers to grow, so a ‘Pollinator’ will take ideas from one project / work stream to another in pass on good ideas allowing all projects to benefit (a carrier of best practice between projects, someone who will stimulate the growth of an existing idea in another project)
