Does anyone know exactly what these superscipt "a's" are and how best to handle them?
This royal decree shall be regarded as basic legislation concerning the protection of the environment, and basic conditions and general coordination of the public health system, with the exception of Article 8, which constitutes legislation concerning the organization of public registers, in accordance with the provisions, respectively, of ***Articles 149.1.23.ª, 16.ª and 8.ª*** of the Spanish Constitution

Estuve mirando en http://www2.unex.es/gerencia/constit.htm, la constitución, el texto, y no aparece. POdrá ser un °? De todos modos el ° a partir del número 10 no estaría bien utilizado, pero no encuentro en la constitución esa referencia. Un saludo. Sigo viendo.

One rather long way to write them is "twenty-third, sixteenth and eighth indents", though you may prefer to write the numbers with figures instead.
